Founder & Director
Irvinder is a Barrister (1987), Chartered Arbitrator (2008), and Mediator (2010).
Irvinder provides legal services in accordance with Rule s15 of the Scope of Practice Rules of the Bar Standards Board Handbook.
In 1996, Irvinder received the Course Director's Prize for achieving the highest mark in the London Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration (written examination)
General commercial and construction – For nearly 35 years Irvinder has specialised in dispute avoidance and resolution for a wide range of domestic and international clients in commercial and construction matters. Clients include commercial businesses as well as employers, contractors, developers and professional consultants. Irvinder regularly advises and represents clients in international and domestic arbitration, mediation and adjudication.
Irvinder's experience covers a broad spectrum including contract formation and interpretation, amendments to existing contracts, claims for additional cost, loss and expense and extensions of time, liquidated damages liability, defects liability, and termination and repudiation.
Outside of pure construction matters Irvinder has wide experience in general commercial contracts and disputes, including joint venture, partnership and shareholders disputes, professional negligence, social care (professional contracts and disputes) and property, and has extensive experience of acting for and against county and local authorities.
Irvinder is a member of various arbitration panels and regularly accepts appointments as Domestic Arbitrations and Mediations in international commercial and domestic disputes.
After nearly 20 years serving the CIArb London Branch, Irvinder continues to give back to the arbitration and ADR community by acting as an arbitrator/judge various arbitration and mediation competitions. Irvinder is a member of CIArb's panel of interviewers assessing candidates who wish to acquire Chartered Arbitrator status. In addition, Irvinder serves on the Worshipful Company of Arbitrators' Education Committee.
